Speaking in L.A., at Getty museum and Berggruen Institute’s PST ART Open House.

Communication is at the heart of my engagement with science. I tell stories of cosmic conundrums at festivals, on TV, and in public lectures. My talks often have a historical or philosophical spin—why do we believe in a big bang, and where did the idea of dark matter come from?

From grand cosmic storytelling to black hole quizzes with a dash of rock ‘n’ roll

I talk science for many audiences: from grand lectures about the search for life, to black holes quizzes with a dash of rock n roll. I have lectured at museums like the Getty in L.A. and Eye in Amsterdam, and have been programmed on festivals such as Lowlands and Expeditie NEXT. I television program such as PBS NOVA, NPO Klokhuis, Universiteit van Nederland, BEAU, Studio MAX, VPRO Tegenlicht, and Veronica.
